questions

When do you release original paintings?

Original works are released in collections and I open up spots for commissions a few times per year.

How can I get notified when new work comes out?

Collection releases are announced on my Instagram and directly to my email list. The best way to make sure you don’t miss out is to subscribe to my email newsletter here. This way, I’ll know to send a heads up to your inbox so you can plan.

Do you offer commissions?

I do on occasion accept commission applications that are a great fit. I treasure my artistic freedom so if someone’s looking for just a hired paintbrush, this is not the place for them. Please see additional details about commissions here.

When will I receive my purchased artwork?

Fine Art Prints are printed to order. And are usually shipped within 2 weeks.

Unframed Originals ship within 1 week. Framed Originals ship within 3 weeks.

Print Quality

All my prints are museum-quality giclee reproductions professionally printed on fine art paper or canvas with inks that last. The quality is such that they’re often mistaken for originals.

All prints come varnished, making them beloved family heirlooms to be enjoyed for generations.

You have the option to purchase a hand-applied layer of varnish for your canvas prints. This varnish will add painterly texture that will have you wondering if I sent you an original painting by mistake.

Care for Art

Originals on Paper:

Mat and frame your original art on paper as soon as you receive it and avoid hanging in direct sunlight.

Fine Art Prints: In order for the color of your prints to remain as vibrant as the day you got them, avoid hanging in direct sunlight. Even though your prints come with a layer of protective varnish, direct exposure to the sun may wash out the colors of your art in time. Matting and framing are strongly recommended to prolong the life of your artwork.

Canvas Prints: You’ll have the option to purchase an additional layer of hand-applied varnish. This will not only add texture to your print, but also an additional layer of protection.

Canvas Originals: I use professional-grade materials in the creation of all my canvas paintings. Direct sunlight may degrade the vibrancy of the colors with time, so avoid hanging in direct sunlight. To clean, lightly dust or vacuum with a soft hair brush attachment.

Framing

Matting and framing works on paper and fine art prints are strongly recommended. Most original works on paper come matted (unless the listing says otherwise). Consider adding a matt to prints and unmatted original works on paper to elevate the look of your art.

Canvas prints may be stretched on a canvas and look almost indistinguishable from the originals. If you’d like this option, please check out the listing to add a border to your canvas print, select your print size, and add to cart. A 2” white border will be added, giving your canvas print a little extra margin to be stretched. To make your canvas print a near-identical representation of the original, be sure to purchase the hand-applied varnish option.

Original paintings on canvas under 50” come framed in a floater frame. Canvas over 50” come carefully rolled and packaged in a mailer tube. Please contact your local framer to have it stretched and framed to your taste.

Check with your local framer or visit Pottery Barn, West Elm, Anthropologie, or Target for stylish frames for smaller works. Simply Framed and Framebridge are also excellent options to get your art professionally framed and delivered back to you ready to hang.

Larger print sizes

Great attention is poured into every print and in order to keep print quality to my standards, I have a limit of how big prints can go. However, if you’d love to fill a wall with my art, consider putting together a series of 3-5 prints that you can display gallery wall style. Please get in touch if you’d like this option to inquire about a quantity discount.

Can I pick up my art from your studio?

Absolutely! My studio is located in Columbia, South Carolina. Please use the code “STUDIOPICKUP” at checkout. I’ll be in touch to set up a meeting time via email.

RETURNS

I do my absolute best to treat each order with care. Make time to carefully read the descriptions and check colors on multiple screens if color variations are a concern. I want to make sure that you adore your purchase!

Commissions: If you’d like to cancel your commissioned painting before it leaves my studio, no problem. Just send me a note. I’ll keep the non-refundable deposit to cover the materials and time, and that’s it. No returns are accepted once a commissioned painting leaves my studio.

Originals and Fine Art Prints: Once they leave my studio, all sales of prints and originals are final. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions of the Online Sale of Goods and Services located here.
